Over the last few days there have been little to no packs of toilet rolls on Woolworths, Big W and Coles shelves in Parkes.
While shelves were empty of toilet rolls in some stores, shelves - or shopfront windows rather - were still full at Discount Daves on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, Woolworths Australia released a statement that they have moved to apply a quantity limit on toilet paper packs to ensure more customers have access to these products.
"It will help shore up stock levels as suppliers ramp up local production and deliveries in response to higher than usual demand," the Woolworths statement read.
"We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience."
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said on Wednesday people should not panic about escalating cases of coronavirus.
"All of us should take the advice of the health experts, no doubt about it," she said.
"But we should also go about our business and not panic - and that's the strongest message we can send.
"It's really important for us to take a precautionary approach. We've put in place everything we can to contain the spread."
Ms Berejiklian said there was no issue with toilet paper supply in NSW and the public should refrain from bulk buying at supermarkets.
But why toilet paper? Four experts have weighed in on the matter and have narrowed it down to being about control, comfort and security, and it's non-perishable.
