Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions from today on the Newell Highway, 16 kilometres north of Parkes while investigation work takes place.

Work will involve digging pits on the side of the highway to collect soil samples for investigations into future road work, and will be carried out between 7am and 6pm from Tuesday until Thursday, February 27, weather permitting.
Traffic control and a reduced speed limit between 40 and 60 km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
