On Saturday the PGC golfers contested the 18 Hole 4B Aggregate fourth Round of Summer Competition with the event again sponsored by BWR Accountants and Advisors.

There was a Medley Individual in conjunction.
This was the second last round of the BWR Accountants and Advisors Summer Competition.
Although inclement weather affected the afternoon participants there was a strong field of 60 still contesting the round.
Trevor Chatman and Ron Hetherington combined well to finish with a strong 78 points. Their combined score was matched by their strong individual showings.
In the individual stakes Jack Elliot fired a very solid 40 points but only won on a count-back from Ron Hetherington and the ever present Warren Blatch.
Ian Phipps fired a 39 point round which included a par round on the back nine. There were 18 ball winners with the cut-off at 35 points.
Josh Cheney had the shot of the day on the 6th to win that lucrative nearest the pin money hole.
Next week we contest the 18 Hole 4B Multiplier with our sponsor SportsPower.
There will be an MedleyIndividual in Conjunction plus it is the fist qualifying Round of the prestigious PYBAR Handicap Challenge.
In Pennants news the Division 1 side went down 4-1 to Bathurst in the last round.
The only win was a strong performance from Aaron Wilkie although Brad Scott did take his opponent to the 20th hole.
The Division 2 side had a 5-0 win over Bathurst maintaining their lead in the competition.
John Green and Riall Harrison recording wins on the 19th.
In Division 3 Parkes defeated Bathurst 3-2 with Rod Kiley, Ron Hetherington and Jarrod Kemp all recording big wins.
In Division 4 Parkes lost to Bathurst 4-1 with only Ross Smith gaining a win on the day.
This week our Division 1 Pennants golfers play Duntryleague in Orange and the other's teams travel to Mudgee with Division 2 team to play Dubbo and Division 2 and 3 versing Orange Ex-services.

Ladies Bowls
With just a light shower of rain falling on our bowlers, a small number of bowlers enjoyed the day.
Two games of triples and one of consistency bowls were played with Jan McPhee, Christine Cox, Heather Harvey defeating Sam Dennis, Lyn Ryan, Betsy Johnstone 19-15.
Helen Heraghty, Julie Green, Marja Iffland defeated Carol Reed, Eileen Bradley, Rosemary Mitchell. 20-16.
Di Howell, Kim Evans, Kay Craft played consistency with Di the winner.
The First Round of Championship Singles will be played February 18th with the draw as follows-
Maureen Miller v Jan McPhee. Maree Grant v Heather Harvey. Robyn Morgan v Gwenda Carty. Rhona Went v Cherie Frame.
There are four byes with Liz Byrne, Lorraine Baker, Betsy Johnstone, and Lea Orr having byes.
The District Pairs will be held at our club on February 25th -26th.
Social bowls will not be held on 25th as all rinks will be used for District event.
Lunch for players $10. A great raffle - money tree donated by Kim and Jan- and 100 club available.
Great bowling will be on show so come and enjoy the day.

Hello Bowlers
Last Thursday night social bowls started with 12 players. Winners were Chad Hamood and Mick Went winning 14+8, with runners up Graham
Thomson and Lea Tanks W13+6.
Thursday night will be on again with names in by 5.30pm for a 6pm start.
Also played on Thursday night was a club championship game of fours.
Luke Ramsay, Dougie Miller, Jake Hodge and Paul Lewin versus Col Boehm, Mick Furney, Marty Fitzpatrick, and Greg Phillips.
The game was in the balance up to ten all, but then Cols team got a seven which they went on to win 23/10.
Played Saturday arvo was the other game of fours. Peter Creith, Graham Thomson, Tony Latter and Graham Cole versus Wally Grant, Terry Hetherington, Gene Rapp, and Allan Curteis.
This was a very close game with only one shot the difference going into the last end.
The two leads had a fantastic battle, well done Graham and Allan.
Peters team winning 25/23 Col Boehm team of himself and Mike Phillips, Geoff Leonard and Greg Phillips went to orange and managed to get to the final of the Zone fours.
Playing Coonabarabran they lost 21/17 in a great effort, well-done railway.
Wednesday saw 14 players take the green and its growing fast with all this beautiful rain.
Winners were Terry Hetherington and Allan Affleck with W17+12.
Runners up Tony Latter Terry Clothier and Shane Hodge W16+4. Margins 4,8,12 with marble seven rolling out the jackpots now stand at number one $300 and the number two $20.
This weekend there are Zone singles to be played with players attending Peak hill, Condobilin, Forbes, and Railway.

Last weekend we saw 12 shooters attend the Deep Lead range and shot at ordinary targets at both 25 and 50 meters for a maximum of 500 points.
