Welcome to the Parkes Bowling and Sporting Club's centenary year of lawn bowls.
This will be an exciting year of bowls at all levels, from weekly social bowls right through to the pinnacle of a state pennant final.
If we all involve ourselves in as many of the activities as possible and volunteer freely and gladly, our club, your club, shall benefit, and shine.
Ladies bowls
Ladies, it's time to dust off those Blue Suede Aeros, shake out the new Moody Blue club shirt, pack that Good Luck Charm into the bowls bag and let your Burning Love for lawn bowls lead you to the Parkes BSC next Tuesday, 21 January for social bowls.
Don't be a Hard-headed Woman, it's time for A Little Less Conversation and a little more Bossa Nova Baby on the greens.
To play, call the club on Tuesday morning, 68621446, between 8.30am and 9am (EDST). Play begins at 9.30am.
For your urgent attention: District Pairs & Singles nominations must be done this week.
Forbes will host the Singles and Parkes, the Pairs - what an opportunity to launch our centenary celebrations.
All members please note: the new blue shirts, now our official uniform, will need to be ordered as soon as possible. Please see Brenda now, if not sooner.
Our second Tuesday, 28 January, there will be Trading Table, shared lunch and a special birthday celebration for Gwenda C. Naturally, all social members are very welcome.
Club championship singles nominations are also open January 28.
A big welcome to several new members who have decided It's Now or Never and joined up this year. Happy bowling.
If you have ever had Suspicious Minds about whether you would enjoy a game of bowls, new players are always welcome. Call Merilyn, 0408 616 423, or Lea, 0428 643 238, for a chat.
