Emergency services received a triple-0 call at 8.05am on Saturday following reports a truck had crashed on Westlime Road west of Parkes.
"On arrival crews found a semi trailer on its side," Fire and Rescue NSW Parkes brigade said.
"Crews got to work to provide fire protection and worked to stem the flow of diesel from a ruptured fuel tank."
Paramedics were also called to the scene and assessed the driver before he was transported to hospital.
"Heavy haulage was called and were able to right the truck and tow it away," firefighters said.
