Parkes Cats win a thriller over Cowra Bowling Club
Cowra Bowling Club 7/164 in 40 overs (Ross Graham 50, Mikey McNamara 42, Tom Thaux 20, Zac Bayliss 5/27 off 7 & Shane Jones 1/20 off 7) lost to Parkes Cat 7/168 in 39.3 overs (Shane Jones 46no, Mitch Wright 38, Mitch Cambourn 36, Zac Bayliss 25, Mick Curtale 2/24 off 9 & Tom Thaux 1/25 off 7).

Parkes Cats won by 3 wickets with only 3 balls to spare.
Once again, the idyllic setting of Woodward Oval saw a thrilling game of cricket as two evenly matched teams enjoyed a match of fluctuating fortunes.
After winning the toss Cowra Bowling Club elected to bat.
They received a very solid start from the opening pairing of Mickey McNamara and Tom Thaux who took the score to 37 before Harry Bayliss enticed Tom into a big hit that ended up in the safe catching hands of Dan Wilson.
The evergreen Ross Graham soon moved into top gear as he played a very fluent innings of 50 runs.
Bowling Club were looking for a formidable total when their key batsmen Mick Curtale joined the very promising young opener, Micky McNamara who scored a determined 42 runs.
Cats Captain Zac Bayliss more noted for his quality batting demonstrated that he is a very capable bowler as he quickly dismissed five batsmen to see Bowling Club score slump from 1/114 to 7/127.
Zac Bayliss in taking 5/27 off 7 was greatly assisted by a brilliant wicket keeping performance by Mitch Cambourn who secured three lightning stumpings.
In reply, Zac Bayliss and Mitch Cambourn appeared to have the run chase well in hand until both lost their wickets, Mitch Cambourn due to an untimely mix-up in running between the wickets.
Bowling Club really began to apply plenty of pressure as Parkes Cats score stood at 4/77.
The situation called for plenty of determination and cool heads from the Cats batsmen.
Shane Jones and Mitch Wright both responded very well to this pressure situation as they played carefully and waited for any loose bowling to be despatched.
Shane Jones (46) and Mitch Wright (38) added 78 runs for the 5th wicket to greatly aid the Cat's towards victory.
Bowling Club never gave up as they snared two more quick wickets before Shane Jones smashed a top shot through the covers to bring his team victory with only 3 balls remaining.

Honey Badgers too strong for Star Hotel
Star Hotel 98 in 23.2 overs (D Constable 39, Luke Greenwood 15, Dane Thorne 17, Chris Orr 2/14 off 4, Dan Gordon 2/18 off 4, Mal Bruce 2/2 off 1.2 & Carl Redenbach 1/3 off 2) lost to honey Badgers 1/99 off 16.3 overs (Aaron Thorne 44 & Dan Gordon 32no).
Honey Badgers defeated Star Hotel by 9 wickets.
Batting first Star Hotel were never able to get on top of a keen Badgers bowling attack despite a good effort by Duncan Constable (39). Chris Orr, Dan Gordon and Mal Bruce all took 2 wickets apiece.
The inform Badgers batsmen Aaron Thorne (44) and Dan Gordon (32no) took little time to pass the Star Hotel total to record an emphatic 9 wicket victory.
Parkes Hotel Galahs in good form over Bowling Club
Bowling Club 46 (Nathan Hessel 16, Dylan Manks 12, Brad Parker 3/3 off 6, Nic Parker 2/8 off 1.2 & Dave Parker 1/6 off 2) lost to Parkes Hotel Galahs 4/48 off 10 (Steve Maier 16, Dave Parker 12, Declan Daley 2/20 off 2 & Nathan Hessel 2/6 off 2.1).
Parkes Hotel Galahs defeated Bowling Club by 6 wickets.
In an abbreviated game dominated by the bowlers the Galahs recorded an easy victory.
Brad Parker preformed a top spell of 3/3 off 6 overs to lead his team to a win. Nathan Hessel had a good all-round game for Bowling Club.
Northparkes Cricket Club score close win over Commercial Dilligafs
Commercial Dilligafs 7/148 in 30 overs (S Dalton 3/28, Corey Rowbotham 1/9 off 2 & Dylan Morgan 1/7 off 4) lost to Northparkes 5/149 in 28.3 overs (Chris Higgins 67no, Brad Wales 30, Usman Cheema 11).
Northparkes defeated Commercial's by 5 wickets.
The Dilligafs batted out their allocated 30 overs to give them a solid total.
In reply Northparkes chased down their winning target with only 9 balls remaining.
Chris Higgins played a key role in scoring 67no with 9 fours to guide Northparkes to victory.
Brad Wales with 30 also did well for Northparkes.
Christmas/New Year break
The LPC will now have a break until 18/1/2020.
Coolabah Cup games are scheduled to resume on 30/1/2020.
Western Zone Premier League will see Parkes play Dubbo at Woodward Oval on 19/1/2020.
Parkes will host Grenfell in a Grinsted Cup match this Sunday at Woodward Oval commencing at 10am.
