The local supermarket has donated 60 24-packs of bottled water, amounting to 1440 bottles.
These bottles of water are packed into the fire trucks and are used to keep firefighters hydrated during and after battling fires and heat on the fire ground.
Parkes Woolworths staff arrived at the Parkes Headquarters Rural Fire Station in Matthews Street last Friday to watch the water delivery made by a fire truck.
A handful of Parkes firefighters were too there to witness the delivery.
Included in the generous donation was also a dozen packets of lollies for the Parkes Headquarters Rural Fire Brigade's annual Santa run and some snacks.
Parkes Woolworths store manager Kerrie Kennedy said the donation is part of a Woolworths campaign called '24 days of good acts', which involves stores contributing to their communities throughout December.
"Every single Woolworths across the nation participates in this and it's all about giving back to our community," she said.
"It's about recognising our customers, recognising organisations that certainly help us in our community.
"It feels really good to be able to go to local schools, nursing homes, police and fires stations - as we've done here with the Rural Fire Service [giving them the water they need] - and to bring a little good to their day.
"It certainly feels good for us as a business to be able to contribute to our community so that's what it's about."
Kerrie said Woolworths has been doing the '24 days of good acts' for two years now, which starts on December 1 and runs until Christmas Eve.
"It's been a huge success and each year we just grow and grow, and do more and more for our local community," she said.
Parkes' senior deputy captain Steve Chester, who was involved in organising the water delivery, was truly grateful for the donation.
"We would like to say thank you to Woolworths," he said.
"Considering a lot of our resources are heading north and south at the moment, we really appreciate Woolworths coming on board to help and support our firefighters on the ground."
