School Spectacular students from the Central West Region

The curtain has fallen on Schools Spectacular for another year as students settle back in after a big weekend of performance.

Students from 32 schools in the Western region hit the stage to sing, dance and perform on Friday and Saturday last week.

Schools Spectacular Co-Executive Producer, Jane Simmons, said the theme this year was STARS.

'We would love for everyone to feel the power, enthusiasm and sheer enjoyment of these talented young people," she said in a statement.

Although the students are back in the classroom, there are more thrills in store for performers when Schools Spectacular hits the small screen on December 7.

"For these students seeing the show they were part of is a real star moment. [The television performance] will showcase some of Australia's best emerging musical talent showcase by some of the best in the business. Every year people are amazed by what these students achieve," Ms Simmons said.

Schools Spectacular will be on Channel 7 at 7pm on December 7.
