Parkes sporting talents have been recognised with NSW Government State Representative Awards, presented on behalf of the Premier by Member for Orange Philip Donato.

Mr Donato was in town to present five awards for outstanding sporting success, four for Dragon Boat racing and one for junior cricket.
"We've got some for the Dragon Boat Racing Club and it's great to see the continuing success of the club here in Parkes," he said
"And I also have one for our young cricketer Maddison Spence.
"You sound like you are on a path to bigger and better things in your cricketing career."
Parkes Mayor Ken Keith congratulated the award recipients.
"Congratulations to everyone involved and thanks to Phil Donato for making these awards available each year," he said.
"It really is appreciated by the community, we have some wonderful sporting talent in our town."
Parkes Dragon Boat Club members Warren and Donna Edwards, Linda Snyman and Maggi Barnard were each recognised for their selection to represent NSW at the 2019 Australian Dragon Boat Championships.
Maddison Spence was recognised for her selection to represent NSW in the 2018 School Sports Australia 12 Years and Under Girls Cricket Championships.
"Thanks to the Dragon Boat Club that continues to forge ahead, great things happening out there at Lake Endeavour so keep it up," Mr Donato said.
"And Maddison good luck with your cricket, I'll be keeping a keen eye on how you are progressing."
