Village Coordinator, Phillip Snow said this year's event enabled Rosedurnate to highlight the Retirement Village which was special as it was the first time the newly refurbished indepdentant living units were open for public viewing.
"We were very excited to once again hold the Rosedurnate Fete especially having undergone major renovations to all our independent living units," he said.
"The renovated independent living units were well received with visitors commenting on the security of a new 24/7 call system which allows residents to connect with a nurse for any emergency.
"The community room for residents to meet, socialise and share interests was also a welcome facility."
Residents from Moyne Aged Care Centre in Canowindra also travelled to show their support, bringing along baked goods for the cake stall.
This year's event offered a range of other stalls including international foods, tea and hampers.
There was plenty of entertainment available including a jumping castle along with performances by the Parkes Shire Concert Band, Middleton Public School and a regular to Rosedurnate - Barry Bishop who sings at many functions held at the facility.
Other highlights included the charity auction conducted by local auctioneer Geoff Rice, who entertained the crowd while offering for sale the many gifts donated by local businesses.
Centre Manager of Rosedurnate Aged Care Centre, Leona Fisher added that she was thrilled to be able to showcase the residential home and provide tours for families with The Salvation Army Aged Care staff helping interested locals explore our services.
