The Blue Tree Project is about depression and suicide and the sentiment that most of us have blue days and that it's OK not to be OK.
The Peak Hill Health Council have rallied the help of their community and will be painting five trees blue on Sunday.
Peak Hill Health Council employee and Parkes Shire Councillor Louise O'Leary said the Peak Hill community has lost several lives to suicide.
"The Blue Tree Project will help raise awareness to support services available, especially in this time of drought," she said.
Volunteers will be painting two trees at the Peak Hill MPS, then a farming family tree near Trewilga, and then moving to the Peak Hill Golf Club to paint a further two trees.
If you would like to volunteer to help paint the trees please RSVP to Elizabeth Dwyer on 0429 653 237 for catering purposes.
