Netball representatives from across the Parkes Shire travelled to Tamworth last month to compete in the annual NSW Social Masters Netball Championships.

The championships saw 29 teams from across the state compete over the two days from October 19-20 at the Tamworth Sports Dome, for the title of the best Over 35s team in NSW.

The Parkes team named 'Magic Mixtures' won 10 of its 11 games, only going down by two points to Lemon Grove from the Newcastle region in the opening game of the weekend.

The side remained undefeated for the rest of the rounds to come away with a silver medal at the presentation on the Sunday afternoon.

Having previously placed bronze in recent years and now to have the silver medal, the team will be chasing gold at the 2020 championships.
