As revitalising rain fell across the region on Sunday the Canowindra CWA, with the support of the Department of Primary Industries Rural Resilience Program, was finalising preparations to host the launch of Ag and Chat, a series of free morning teas planned across the Central West between now and Christmas.

Guest speakers at the meeting on Monday included Di Gill from the Rural Adversity Mental Health Program (RAMHP).
RAMHP provides specialist knowledge and support for people experiencing mental health concerns living in the rural communities.
Ms Gill was joined by Scott Barrett who is a NSW Drought Relief manager and James Cleaver who is a Rural Sport Worker with the Department of Primary Industries.

"It is at times we are the most stressed that we need to have contact with others, however, this is the time we are more likely to withdraw," Ms Gill said.
"The aim of the Ag and Chat morning teas are to encourage people to take the opportunity to learn some beneficial information from agricultural specialists and then allow themselves to have time to have a cup of tea or coffee, something nice to eat then sit down to catch up with other locals."
Cargo will host an Ag and Chat morning tea at the Timber Top Coffee Shop at 10am on November 26.
Other morning teas are planned for 10am starts at Eugowra's Central Hotel on December 4, Grenfell's The Hub on November 27, the Cowra Saleyards on December 3 and the Gooloogong Hotel on December 11.
