The resident got up to find a ruptured pipe was flooding the lounge room and plasterboard was broken from the wall.
The resident found the damage appeared to have been caused by the impact of a vehicle with the front wall of the house.
A Holden badge was laying in the driveway.
At 4am on Saturday, police were on patrol when they located an abandoned white Holden Commodore on a stock route west of town.
The vehicle had damage consistent with the impact with the house and its Holden badge was missing.
Police spoke with the owner of the vehicle who nominated another person to be driving it at the time of the offence.
Investigations are continuing.

Unknown offenders cut a large hole in a dog cage at the location.
CCTV footage is being reviewed in an attempt to identify those responsible.

An 18-year-old Eugowra male had his licence suspended and his number plates confiscated for three months after he was caught doing a burnout on Friday night.
The man, driving a Holden Commodore utility performed a burnout in Clarinda Street at 6.40pm.
At the time an off-duty police officer was driving behind him.
He was issued with a Court Attendance Notice on Sunday.

Highway Patrol officers caught a 35-year-old female from Bourke doing 52km over the speed limit on Saturday.
The woman was caught doing 152 kilometres per hour in a 100 zone at 12pm on the Bogan Way near Tullamore.
As the woman had a child in the car, officers followed her to Tullamore where her licence was suspended.
As it was not her car the number plates were not confiscated.
The woman was fined $2482 and disqualified from driving for 6 months.

A 56-year-old Parkes man was charged with mid-range PCA on Saturday morning.
Police stopped the man at 6.30am.
He failed a roadside breath test, was arrested and taken to Parkes Police Station where a breath analysis returned a reading of 0.081.
His licence was suspended and he will appear in Parkes Local Court on December 2.

A 23-year-old Forbes man will face court on a mid-range PCA charge after police pulled him up due to the manner in which he was driving on Sunday night.
Officers stopped the man, driving a silver Nissan Navara utility south of Parkes on the Newell Highway at 8.40pm.
He failed a roadside breath test, was arrested and taken to Parkes Police Station where a breath analysis returned a reading of 0.144.
His licence was suspended.

A 26-year-old Currimundi woman will face court after driving without a licence.
Police were on patrol on Friday at 1.15pm when they observed a maroon Holden Commodore parked in Calendonia Street with a female in the drivers seat.
There were two males near the vehicle.
Officers spoke to the woman who told them she had been assaulted by one of the males.
When police spoke with the male, he denied assaulting the woman and told officers he was trying to prevent her from driving as she was disqualified.
Further inquires resulted in the woman being issued with a Court Attendance Notice.
She will appear on December 16.

Police are investigating the theft of a phone and a wallet containing cash and an ID card from a vehicle on Tuesday, October 29.
The owner of the vehicle left it parked in Grenfell Street for 20 minutes before returning to find the items stolen.
