Current owners Ben and Sarah Terry have more than one reason to celebrate, with the completion of the store's renovations.
Not only does the building have a completely new look - so does the Terry Bros style.
In 2007 Ben and Sarah bought the business from Ben's uncle, Ian Terry, and his wife Sharon who had owned and operated it for 17 years. Ian bought and extended the building that was originally the Miller and Cheney car yard in 1989.
Both originally from Young, the couple have 18 years of experience in the industry, having worked and lived in Canberra for five years and Melbourne for two before coming to Parkes.
Sarah and Ben have completely renovated the building inside and out with the addition of an insulated ceiling, upstairs offices and a lunchroom, electric doors and disabled entry ramps.
The front of the store has been rendered and features all new LED signs.
Ben said Terry Bros has now moved towards being more of a designer store selling custom made Australian furniture.
"Now that the ceiling is through we can be that store, it's hard to be that store when you are in a tin shed," he said.
"Now the shop has the same look as the quality furniture we love selling.
"Selling what we love and finding our customers beautiful pieces that suit their home."
Ben said he and his team are passionate about working with people who really want to own their own space and have their own identity.
"We can help them customise what they are doing and put their own personality in their space," he said.
"We get to do that with carpets or hard flooring, we go through that whole process with people, but with furniture you couldn't do it as much.
"We decided we wanted to move into furniture we love and that is reliable.
"And now we are using new Australian made manufacturers it's giving us a lot more options."
The team are able to help you customise a stylish range of upholstered beds.
"Our upholstered bed range is amazing," Ben said.
"You can choose your style in your colour, they are made by true craftsmen and are still very affordable."
Similarly you can customise your new lounge suite to suit your taste - from the arm, the seat cushion, the leg and the fabric.
"We can mix and match all those things to design a lounge to suit your look and your space," Ben said.
"And the process is a lot of fun."
The team at Terry Bros is really inspired by the re-branding of Carpet Court.
"They've sourced a new range and completely re-launched," Ben said.
"Our entire floor covering area has been redone with samples of the latest trends and it looks fantastic."
Ben and Sarah treat their staff like family and it shows with an experienced long-serving team.
"Peter Edwards looks after our blinds and awnings and he has been with us for almost 10 years," Ben said
"Jesse Trumble, our showroom manager, has been with us for six years and loves helping customers design their individual style."
Daniel Clark started ten years ago. He trained as an apprentice under Ben's brother, Sam Terry, and now helps lead the install team with Luke McMahon and Jack Brewer, all fully qualified flooring installers.
The couple are dedicated supporters of youth employment.
"We run a really strong apprentice program where we train all our installers in house and we currently have three apprentices in training, Brent Morgan, Jackson Haesnch and Brendan Ryan," Ben said.
"Brent was doing a school-based apprenticeship with us for two years, one day a week through Parkes High School and has now started with us full time as a second year apprentice.
"Jackson is just about to start his second year with us and Brendan his fourth."
Ben and Sarah are heavily involved in the Parkes community and are major sponsors of Parkes Bowling and Sports Club, Parkes Harness Racing Club, Parkes and District Netball Association, Parkes Golf Club.
They also support school fetes, Pink Up Parkes and many other community groups.
