Holiday tennis
Jake Magill has been on the road working on his ranking at both Canberra and Penrith tournaments while Abbey Kennedy and Gabe Goodrick both played at Wagga.
Abbey was the best performer finishing runner-up in the 16s singles and partnering Callison Row from ACT to win the doubles.
Gabe was runner-up in the 14s boys Consolation which was his best result to date at a Junior Tour level tournament.
Ballkid training
Saturday saw 12 juniors attend the final regional ballkid training before ATP Cup in Sydney in January. There will be 90 ballkids in action during the 10 days and 30 of those are from regional NSW.
Those 30 have been training across NSW with a variety of ball skill and team bonding activities as well as simulated match play. They will have one more compulsory session early in December in Sydney on site where they will be fitted for their uniforms and taken through their final run throughs.
10s State teams event
This weekend Ella McColl and Poppy Fisher will travel to Cessnock as part of the Central West team to compete at the State Teams Championships. Ella and Poppy qualified after attending trials last month and have been practising during the holidays in readiness for a big weekend.
The girls will be managed by Keagan McCrohon who just last month completed his Club Professional Coaching qualification and will provide plenty of positive encouragement for the girls during their singles and doubles matches.
