President Norma Oliver said the small committee are working hard to try and rally some support for the local branch.
"We are looking for some more support, we'd like to get some younger members," she said.
"We have about five people who come to help out regularly."
Volunteers staff the Red Cross Tea Rooms each Wednesday and Thursday from 10am to 2pm and on Fridays from 9am to 3pm.
Sandwiches, slice and cakes are served along with tea and coffee for $6.
Norma said at the moment the branch is saving for a new kitchen.
"The Parkes Boars held a charity rugby day to help out with our fundraising efforts," she said.
"It was a fantastic day of footy and an auction later in the evening which raised quite a bit for our kitty.
"We are so grateful for the club's wonderful support, it is very much appreciated and we thank them very much."
Norma also wants to remind the community about the fabulous mothers and babies room at the branch.
"It is such a great space for mums to call in and take advantage of all it has to offer," she said.
"We have a change table, hot water, a comfortable lounge to sit and relax while feeding, a fridge, nappies if anyone needs one, toys for bigger children, a fenced outside play area and toilets."
