Parkes Aquatic Coordinator Nikki Thornhill and her lifeguards are ready to dive into a big swimming season for 2019-20, as is the Parkes Sharks Swimming Club.
Pool patrons can expect to see a few changes at the pool this season - and it's all to make way for a more enjoyable user experience for everyone in the Parkes Shire community.
Parkes Shire Council is granting pool users half price on the admission fee after offering free entry to all last year.
Users of the shire's village pools will continue to have free access, with those pools opening on November 2.
Council has also introduced a new position at the aquatic centre, with Amanda Hetherington filling in the role of Customer Service Officer.
Amanda will be among the first friendly faces greeting patrons at the pool's entrance.
2019 marks three years Nikki has been Aquatic Coordinator and she's been a lifeguard for five years.
Meanwhile, perhaps the biggest change at the pool - especially for the swimming club - is their weekly club night has been moved from Friday to Thursday to allow more families to enjoy the pool at the end of the week.
