The Parkes Combined Services Clubs Dinner took place on Friday night, with the annual gathering acting as a lead-in event for the Pink Up Parkes fundraising campaign for the McGrath Foundation.

The event - which involves volunteers from the numerous clubs who serve the Parkes community, such as Rotary, Quota, Action Club, CWA, View Club - was held upstairs at the Parkes Services Club.
With the dinner taking place just four days out from the beginning of Pink Up Parkes that began on October 1 and runs until October 31, attendees took the opportunity to dress in pink to mark the occasion.
The night featured the appearance of Parkes' McGrath Foundation Breast Care Nurse Dianne Green and the Pink Up Parkes committee's chairperson Carolyn Rice, and guest speaker breast cancer survivor Marguerite Burns.
