After forming a special committee in June to take on the challenge to Pink Up Parkes, a number of businesses, clubs, community groups and individuals have jumped on board to take part.
Now in its third year, the national event will see those involved plan pink-themed events and activities across the country.
There will be several "pink" events in Parkes throughout the month, which will feature the pink carpet (featured in the photo above), courtesy of Terry Bros Parkes.

Terry Bros Parkes has also kindly donated a pink chair as an item for the Pink Up Parkes auction that aims to help fund more McGrath Foundation Breast Care Nurses.
And a beautiful pink quilt is among the many items generously donated by businesses and individuals, included in the raffle.
The chair and the quilt (donated by Marcelle Armstrong from Marcelle's Patchwork Cottage), though obscured, appear in the photo above.
The committee delivered its Pink Up Parkes packs to the registered businesses getting involved in the campaign on Monday.
But president Carolyn Rice OAM said it's not too late to register to get involved.
"Not everyone has to have an event to get involved in Pink Up Parkes," she said.
"Many people have said to me they don't know what they could do to fundraise - having a money box to collect donations is more than enough.
"Every little bit counts."
Businesses have also decorated their shops and shopfront windows as a way to get involved.
