The Rapid Relief Team purchased approximately $110,000 worth of sheep and cattle livestock supplement from Young's Ambos Stockfeeds, which has been lugged in 500kg bags to Tullamore, Tottenham, Nymagee and Condobolin farmers.
In total, 200 tonnes of supplement will be provided to 400 farmers, each recipient receiving a 500kg bulker-bag.
Rapid Relief Team volunteers Ron Arkcoll and his sons Harvey and Joshua were in Young helping load the supplements on two trucks on Monday afternoon.
Even the use of the trucks were donated from volunteers' businesses.
"Ambos has helped us and the Rapid Relief Team are donating approximately $110,000 worth of protein supplement," Ron said.
"Three drops will be made. About 200 tonne will reach about 400 farmers. We have a very detailed recipient process. They are persons who are genuinely in need, who live off the land. It's persons trying to keep breeding stock going. We're not supplying hobby farmers.
"It's all run by volunteers, all under volunteer basis."
The trucks arrived at Tullamore on Tuesday at 9am and will be in Nymagee on Thursday at 9am.
A third will arrive at Condobolin on Thursday, October 10 at 9am.
Peter Wiggins from the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church said their Christian values of care and compassion motivated them to help farmers doing it tough in drought-stricken NSW.
"We are acting now to support our state farmers with feed for cattle and sheep as drought continues in rural New South Wales," Mr Wiggins said. "This is the thing we can do to help, so we are."
"It is in our nature as Christians to help those in the community having a hard time, and this drought has taken a huge toll on farming families, so we hope this feed goes some ways to bring them some relief.
CEO at Ambos Stockfeeds Ian Spencer said it was a worthwhile cause.
"We're a major stockfeed manufacturer and we were contacted by the Rapid Relief Team to assist with product. We were happy to jump in on fairly short notice and we're happy to support a worthwhile cause," Ian Spencer said.
