The Festival of Choral Music is a series of four concerts held annually at the Sydney Opera House.
Assistant Principal Jane Howard said the event involves public schools from across the state and is organised by the Department of Education and Training's Arts Unit.
"Each year schools who are interested in participating are required to audition for placement within the Choral Festival," Mrs Howard said.
"The highlights of this excursion included walking across the harbour bridge, eating ice creams at Circular Quay and exploring the botanical gardens!"
The day culminated with singing as part of a 700 strong choir in the concert hall of the Sydney Opera House.
The students experienced an amazing concert for which they had practised since the beginning of the year.
