Grand Final Results

Senior League Tag Blue

Hansen Plumbing Senior League Tag Blues lost on the weekend to Cabonne 18 - 6 seeing them finish second in the competition, an outstanding effort.

We would like to wish Jorja Simpson all the best as she heads to Japan to play Rugby 7's this week.

Congratulations Jorja!

Under 14 Blues

A determined side took the field last Saturday as Parkes MP Home & Design Under 14 Blues took on Cabonne.

Unfortunately Cabonne was too strong beating Parkes 50 - 20.

The boys can hold their heads high finishing second in the competition, great work boys!

Under 16's 24-22

Brian Collins Smash Repairs and MacPherson Spare Parts and Services Under 16's played a tough grand final match against a big strong aggressive Red Bend side in a good display of junior football.

Red Bend opened the score board quickly, taking it to 6 nil.

A ball error for Parkes saw Red Bend in again leaving the score 12 nil.

Parkes finally gained possession and turned it into points with a try from Bayden Moran, conversion was unsuccessful.

Parkes were on the scoreboard 12 - 4.

As Red Bend put two more tries on the board taking advantage of Parkes forward pass and an intercept that resulted in a dropped ball.

Jai Thompson was forced to leave after an injury with Bayden Moran requiring stitches at the end of the game to a large gash on his head.

Half-time score was 22 - 4.

A stronger Parkes side took the field second half scoring first with a missed conversion took the score to 22 - 8.

Parkes were able to hold Red Bend out in the second half with them only scoring one try seeing the final score 22 -8. Congratulations to Red Bend on their win.

Thank you again to all our sponsors, spectators, parents, volunteers and players for a great season.

See you in 2020!
