Last weekend we saw only six shooters attend the Deep Lead shooting complex. They shot at crow targets at both 25 and 50 meters for a maximum of 520 points.
This match was shot under very windy and cold weather. It caught out every shooter at the 50 meter range as the wind changed direction and velocity continually.
- David Wilson 270, 248, 518
- Brian Drabsch 270, 246, 516
- John Davis 270, 246, 516
- Ron Cunningham 268, 247, 515
- Jeff Charlton 268, 240, 508
- Steve Mitchel 270, 233, 503
Out next shoot is at 10am Sunday, September 15 and will be ordinary targets at both ranges. Last Saturday we held a successful working bee out at the range along with the Parkes Pistol Club.
A big thanks to all who attended and helped out. It was a huge help when Dave Tanks arrived with his tractor and carried out al the heavy lifting with the hydraulic lifter and bucket.
With all the rubbish removed, the range looks real good and we are one step closer to having the 50 meter range not require any fallout area behind the stop butts.
