The Trundle Boomers celebrate their win over Manildra in the Woodbridge Cup grand final.

In winning their third premiership in a row the Trundle Boomers have achieved a feat not seen in country rugby league since the early 90's and not in the Woodbridge Cup since the late 1960s.

The Boomers completely dominated Sunday's grand final held at their home ground, Berryman Oval in Trundle, to take out the 2019 competition with a comprehensive 56-0 win over the Manildra Rhinos.

"It was a pretty good experience for the boys and the town," captain coach Josh Miles said after the historic performance.

The last team to win three Woodbridge Cups in succession was Stockinbingal in 1968,69,70.

Season 2019 was supposed to be about introducing some of the club's younger brigade to first grade football but Miles said after making it back to back last year a lot of the club's more experienced footballers had returned to the field in search of the historic record.

Despite the big scoreline he described the match "as still a good game".

The Boomers opened the scoring after just three minutes racing to a 6-0 lead before Brad Watt scored in the corner stretching the lead to 10-0.

When the half time whistle blew the Boomers had stretched the margin to 28 unanswered points.

The procession of points continued in the second stanza with play underway less than four minutes when half Adam Hall scored.

Brad Watt and Ryan Porter created plenty of headaches for the Manildra defence, each crossing for three tries. Conner Farrer scored a double and Brendan Sense and Adam Hall scored a try each.
