Captain Joe Van Opynen's team defeated Cowra 9-3 at the Parkes Hotel on Saturday.
"Cowra were definitely stronger than Orange," Joe said.
"One of the Orange players who now plays for Cowra, Andrew Platt, came back from 3-1 down, winning his last three games in a row to take the match 4-3.
"Parkes' Jayden Capple played well against Pros Soun, it was a very tactical match.
"Jayden got away with the win 4-2, it was a close one and there were some very interesting shots in that match."
Jake Hodge, who was unable to play last time due to work commitments cemented his place in the team winning his match 4-2.
"Former Parkes players Craig and Dale Mudiman played well but were unlucky to come up against Paul Lewin and Frank Van Opynen who were too strong on the day," Joe said.
Cowra will now take on Orange and Parkes will travel to play the winner sometime in November.
A highlight of the day was the attendance of NSW Pool Champion Travis Crawley, his wife Melissa and son Jack.
"It was a real bonus having them with us for the day," Joe said.
"Travis did some coaching while he was there.
"I got to play him in a couple of games and in one of them he broke and then sunk the lot!
"After the inter-town challenge, twelve-year-old Jack played in our all-in pool comp and scored himself some easy pocket money."
Parkes players are excited at the announcement that four places have been allocated to Central West players to compete in the Australian Championships in Albury in October.
"Players will nominate and have a play off to determine who fills the four spots," Joe said.
"We are all very excited about the opportunity.
"We are also looking at picking a Central West side before Christmas to possibly take on the NSW ladies or juniors team."
