The old Bogan Gate community hall came alive on Sunday afternoon with the sounds of much laughter, happiness and the wonderful music of Phil Redenbach.
The Forbes Dance group supported the Trundle Branch of the Royal Far West - Sunshine Club by bringing their monthly dance to Bogan Gate.
Dancers came from as far as Orange, Trangie, Dubbo, Tottenham and surrounding towns, and as the saying goes "Had a ball"! although some did admit they came for the sumptuous afternoon tea, where everyone contributes, and this year because of the great facilities, brought all the food for their tea, as well.
Many thanks to Shelley Nuttley from the Hall committee for setting up the supper room with lovely pink tablecloths and a vase of flowers on every table.
A HUGE "Thank You" to Bernardi's Food store in Forbes, who supplied the amazing amount of fruit and vegetables, and to Lorraine and Keith Lowe for donating the leg of lamb, for the raffle.
The Dinner Raffle was won by Val Taylor of Forbes, the second prize, was a "Gift Voucher" for Styles, Hair and Clothing shop in Trundle, and was donated by Jo Coster, and was won by Margaret Hewitt, from Tottenham.
The Lucky Door Prize was won by Evelyn Traynor from Dubbo.
Thanks to Anne from Forbes who every year donates all the "Spot Prizes" for the dances.
We hope to see everyone back next year, supporting the RFW whose aim is to improve the health and wellbeing of children who live in remote and rural communities, and has been doing that since 1924 working in partnership with families, healthcare providers and community groups in remote areas, not only in their centre in Manly, but now by their Telecare Program, throughout NSW.

What started the Trundle Testicle Festival, the diagnosis of a dear friend.
He had to argue with a doctor to get tested.
Why should you have to argue for a test that could save your life?
Why can't prostate PSA blood tests be as common as mammograms and pap smears?
Everyone is happy to talk about women's bits, let's talk about men's bits too.
