That's the result to come out of the Wellington Dance Eisteddfod, that took place on July 26.
In fact there were many great results to come out of the Wellington Dance Eisteddfod and Parkes East Public School teacher and dance group organiser Maureen Massey said their school community couldn't be happier.
The school had 80 children from Years 1 to 6 travel to Wellington to take part in the annual event, which attracted entrants from Parkes, Wellington, Molong, Mudgee and Orange in the schools dance sections.
Stage 1, which involved Years 1 and 2, came second in their section.
Stage 2 (Years 3 and 4) had three different dance groups participate - "Came Here For Love" group came first, the "Bills" came second, while the "Set it on Fire" group came third.
Parkes East Public's Stage 3 (Years 5 and 6) had an excellent day, not only winning the senior primary section but also Best School Dance Group for 2019.
What made the overall Best School Dance Group title all the more sweeter for the Stage 3 performers was that they were up against 12 dance groups from various high schools, including Wellington, Orange and Canobolas.
"Parkes East had an extremely successful day and all the children and teachers were delighted with the results," Ms Massey said.
