The Parkes Bowling and Sports Club was the venue for this completion that is held twice a year.
Thank you to all the folk that put up our posters advertising our trivia night.
The VIEW Club organises this event so that we are able to raise money to sponsor four Smith Family "Learning for Life" school children.
So, what happens?
Well, our Quiz Master, Charlie Pecenka, puts together pages and pages and pages of challenging questions, plus lots and lots and lots of black and white photos of the town.
He has Tom Furey as the Microphone Master.
Not only are we filling out these numerous pages, but there are verbal questions asked, and we had to show whether the answer was true or false (hands on heads for true, and hands on our back pockets for false), until only one person was still in the competition, who is rewarded with chocolates.
For encouragement, handfuls of chocolates were handed out throughout the night to winners.
Plus, there was plenty of home-cooked yummies offered to one-and-all throughout the night, finishing with a lovely supper.
The Winners were the group that called themselves "Quota Quickies", a group of eight.
The Runners-Up were called "Clueless"; unusually, there were eight at the table with one being invisible!
Okay, have a go!
The questions had multiple choice answers, but see if you can give the correct answers without any choice of answers, heh?
