Police are appealing for information after a man was stabbed in Parkes overnight.

About 10.45pm on Monday a 19-year-old man and friend attended Woodward Park in Parkes for a pre-arranged meeting with another male.
It is alleged multiple persons unexpectedly arrived at the park and as a result the 19-year-old man and friend left the scene.
Shortly after arriving at a Philip Street address, multiple unknown persons parked outside the address and exited their vehicles.
A male entered the front yard and commenced fighting the 19-year-old and his friend, stabbing him twice in the back before leaving the address.
Emergency services were notified and attended the scene.

The man was taken by ambulance to Orange Hospital in a stable condition.
Officers attached to Central West Police District established a crime scene and continue investigations into the matter.
Police wish to speak with a man described as being Caucasian in appearance, late teens, thin build, dark hair, wearing long white pants, dark coloured Adidas hooded jumper with three white stripes running down the sleeves, and a light-coloured cap with a dark brim.
He was last seen leaving a Philip Street address in a vehicle.
