The first game was against Orange City who were a very evenly matched side for the Boars. Max MacGregor opened up the account by scoring a great try darting through the opposition. Kalvin Dargin ran in one next bumping off opposition as he went.
Orange City returned serve scoring the first of their three tries for the game.
Liam Strudwick had one of his best games, making a couple tackles, running the ball up and getting involved in the ruck. Milly Cox made some great tackles and went for a length of the field run looking certain to score only to unluckily get caught up on the try line. I
sobelle Hunter had a great game scoring two tries with her speed down the wing leaving City in her dust.
Heath Rathbone had one of his best as well cleaning out continually and hitting the ball up hard.
Eamon Moody also scored a great try in this game and is becoming hard to tackle. Max and Kalvin both scored a second good try each in the second half. What was most impressive in this game was the whole of team effort especially cleaning the opposition out to win the ball as well as spreading out in defence resulting in better tackling then the previous few games.
The next game was against Bathurst Bulldogs Blue. Bathurst scored the first couple tries and put the Boars under pressure who were still on a high after improving in the first game.
With this added pressure the Boars forgot to spread out making tackling harder however Kalvin Dargin hit back scoring two two strong tries proving unstoppable when he gets momentum going.
Aaryab Gautum showed he is learning the game fast going for impressive runs down the sideline a number of times displaying sheer determination and impressing the coaches.
Ryker Moore who hits the ball up through the opposition well went straight and hard even better in this game making many valuable metres at one stage getting close to the line.
This game continued going back and forth with both Bathurst and Parkes scoring hard earned try after try. Try scorers this game were Heath Rathbone (2), max MacGregor (4) and Eamon Moody however the whole team played well.
Last game of the day was against the second Bathurst Bulldogs Gold side who proved even tougher. Highlights include Isobelle Hunter ripping the ball continually as she made tackles with one of them resulting in a length of the field try.
It was great to watch Liam Strudwick got involved in just about every scrum, lineout and a lot of rucks. Milly Cox continued to impress through her no fear tackling and running.
Heath Rathbone played well working hard all round. Max MacGregor, Kalvin Dargin and Eamon Moody had great games getting to the ball first, scoring a try each and making tackles count.
Aaryab Gautum once again was heavily involved all round. Ryker Moore had a great all round game proving handy in the ruck and running the ball up.
Although it was close at half time the Boars tired out with Bathurst running away with it in the second half. Good effort all round from the under 9s which made coaches and parents proud.
Trophies this week went to Liam Strudwick who earned 'Most Improved' and Max MacGregor who earned 'Player of the week'
