Last weekend we saw only five shooters out at the Deep Lead shooting complex. They shot at buffalo targets at both 25 and 50 members for a maximum of 520 points.
- Brian Drabsch 270, 250, 520
- John Davis 270, 248, 518
- Ron Cunningham 270, 248, 518
- John Smeaton 256, 244, 509
- Steve Mitchell 270, 233, 503
This match was shot under near perfect conditions with almost no winds. Out next shoot is at 1pm Sunday, August 11 and will be ordinary targets at both ranges. We had a person in a motorised wheelchair visit during the weekend and entry to the range was no trouble. The wheelchair fitted perfectly under our benches in a shooting postion. Slight moderations will have to be made to the steel doorframe to access the toilet.
If you can no longer play contact sports or move around freely why not come along and see if this sport is for you. We have club rifles you can borrow for the day but you will have to ring on 6862 1969 so it can be brought out to the range. We also have ammo for sale at each shoot for licensed shooters.
