Jacob Townsend scored a hat-trick, Jack Elliott a double and Damien Morgan one goal for Budgies with Brad Gardiner, Luke Greenwood and Graeme Thompson converting for Rovers.
The highlight in the match was the outstanding goal-keeping performance by youngster, Jack Westcott, who demonstrated why he has been selected in the NSW AAP squad.
Best for Budgies were Andrew Bourke, Damien Morgan and Cooper Wakeman with Jack Westcott earning best on ground for Rovers with Luke Greenwood also playing well.
Magpies Black defeated Cellar Crows 6-3 in another high scoring match.
Josh Kearney scored twice with Jason Wright, Kyle Thompson, Will Cassell and Conor Dwarte also scoring for Magpies.
Craig Kelly converted two goals and Neville Kirwan one goal for Cellars.
Kyle Thompson was player of the match with Aaron Drabsch and Jason Wright also playing well for Magpies.
Hugo Fenton and Kane Macfarlane played well for Cellars.
A GRADE WOMEN
Magpies defeated PHI 4-0 in a nice team performance.
Goals were shared between Peta Fagan, Tina Jones, Chantel Constable and Lucy Turner.
Best for Magpies were India Draper, Bria Constable, Savannah Draper and Olivia Thompson with Anita Beard and Lyndal Matthews playing well for PHI.
Rovers Gold played smart team hockey to defeat Rovers Black 4-0.
Merryn Unger scored twice with Casey Miles and Alyssa Miller also converting.
Best for Rovers Gold were Sarah Hartin and Louise Hawken with Lee Hodge putting in a best on ground performance in Goals for Black and Wendy Huppatz earning points for a strong defensive performance.
B GRADE MEN
Magpies Black defeated Marist 4-1.
Joseph Tanswell was in fine form in the circle knocking in 3 goals with Adam Smithers also converting.
Adam Smithers was player of the match for Magpies with Joseph Tanswell also playing well.
Liam Moody and Paul Moody both had great games for Marist.
Middleton narrowly defeated Cellar Crows Aqua 2-1.
Barry Reeves and Tim Welsh both scored nice goals for Middleton with Neville Kirwan converting for Cellars.
Best for Middleton were Tobey Thorne and Will Blunt with Hugo Fenton, Reed Cavallaro and Neville Kirwan playing well for Cellars.
Rovers Gold defeated Magpies White 2-0 in a close match.
Andew Daley kicked off the scoring with a great strike from the top of the circle and Jacob Chambers ensured victory with a neat reverse stick goal.
Luke Greenwood was best on ground for Rovers and was well supported by Cooper Huppatz and Jacob Chambers.
Tommy Searl had his usual strong game for Magpies.
Rovers Gorillas put together a strong performance to defeat Magpies Academy 5-0.
Brendon Roffe and Billy Payne scored doubles with Alexander Chambers also scoring a nice goal.
Best for Gorillas were Aaron Huppatz, Simon Scott, Cooper Huppatz and Mat Swindle with Archie Rix and Dave MacGregor the best for Academy.
B GRADE WOMEN
Magpies Academy just edged out Magpies Black 2-1 in a close match.
Sophie Wright was in good form in the circle knocking in two nice goals for Academy with Natalie Munday scoring for Black.
Best for Academy were Sophie Wright, Anny Calluaud and Maggie Wright with Lucy Turner playing well for Black.
Rovers Black defeated Middleton 3-0 in a strong team performance.
Goals were shared between Codie Sense, Sass Tildsley and Sarah Tolley.
Best for Rovers were Sarah Tolley, Chloe McCarthy and Tiffany Steel with Tracie Sams, Sophie Heraghty and Olivia Noakes strong for Middleton.
Rovers Gold and Magpies White played out an exciting 3-3 draw.
Magpies took a 3-0 lead through Kate Shambrook, Tiffani Townsend and Skye Harris.
Rovers Gold fought back to clinch a draw with goals to Chloe Carty, Josie Jones and Jo-Anne Lyons.
Best for Magpies were Chantel Constable, Lisa Clarke and Skye Harris with Lara Piercy having a great match for Rovers.
Star Budgies defeated Middleton Eagles 4-1 in a slick performance.
Rachael Kelly, Lucy Blackstock, Madeline Swan and Carmen Amor all scored nice goals with Alexandra Jones converting for Eagles.
Best for Budgies were Jo Payseno, Melissa Coles and Madeline Swan with Amber Brown and Alexandra Jones the best for Eagles.
Marist and Cellars played out a tight 1-1 draw.
Cindy Nutley scored a great goal for Cellars with Lyndal Matthews converting with a strong strike for Marist.
Best for Marist were Sharon Deen-Moody, Sharon Scott and Jordan Moody with Cindy Nutley, Michelle Yeo and Madeline Blackstock the best for Cellars.
