On Thursday at Neighbourhood Central in Currajong Street, Mission Australia will welcome parents, carers, service providers and other interested community members to a two hour information session about the National Disability Insurance Scheme's (NDIS) Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) program.
The information session will provide an introduction to the program that Mission Australia delivers in Parkes. The program supports children aged zero to six years who have a developmental delay or disability, and their families and carers.
Attendees will have a chance to meet with Mission Australia ECEI experts and chat about the program over a light morning tea from 10am to 12pm.
Mission Australia is the NDIS community partner funded to deliver ECEI services in Western and Far Western NSW.
"By delivering the Early Childhood Early Intervention service, we can ensure that the families and carers of children aged zero to six living with disability or who have a developmental delay can better understand and access the NDIS, and receive the supports they need, when they need them," said Suzi Welch, Mission Australia's Community Engagement Coordinator for Western and Far Western NSW for the Early Childhood Early Intervention NDIS program.
"This event will be a great opportunity for parents, carers, service providers and other interested community members to learn about the Early Childhood Early Intervention program so they can help children to develop the skills they need to take part in daily activities and achieve the best possible outcomes throughout their life."
As places are limited, Mission Australia encourages interested members of the community to reserve their place through Eventbrite at https://ecei-parkes.eventbrite.com.au.
