The WNSWLHD is calling for members of the community who have used the Parkes maternity service in the last two years, or think they may use the service in the next two years, to contact them.
The health district intends to hold a series of focus groups in August to talk to both women and men about how they can provide maternity services that are safe, sustainable and accessible.
WNSWLHD announced the closure of the unit in June, citing a shortage of obstetricians as the reason.
The closure forces Parkes women to travel to Forbes, or further, to give birth.
To register your interest in these community sessions, send an email to: WNSWLHD-LachalnMaternity@health.nsw.gov.au or call 6378 6274.
The closing date is Friday, August 2.
