The weather conditions were much kinder this time around, compared to a few weeks ago.
Comeback queen captain Amy "John Farnham" Roseby returned for one last game, before she shoots off overseas. Amy won the toss and the Panthers were heading to the Railway Hotel goals.
As the bright sun was beaming down on everyone's faces, it was game on.
Cowra were on the board early with two quick goals, putting the backline under pressure early on but experienced full-back Cassandra Kelly soon slowed down the fast flow of goals by Cowra, showing her nimble foot skills and defensive efforts to force the ball over the line for behinds.
Parkes had it also in their forward 50 for periods of time, but no score for the quarter.
Second quarter and Parkes had to step up their game plan and find ways to get on the scoreboard.
Players' player Hallee "Powerade" Pauley-L'estrange was full of beans and determined to get the ball from the midfield into the forward 50, as she used her signature "don't argue" move.
She then backed it up by running along the outer wing of the massive Northparkes Oval, with multiple bounces and long kicks to the vicinity of the White's Electrical goals.
Parkes then had their tails up as the ball was getting locked in their forward line, several scoring shots occurred and a behind was kicked by Korine Coleman, followed by two behinds from Amber L'estrange and two behinds by Amy Roseby.
Cowra scored a behind for the quarter.
Half-time and Parkes were only twelve points behind.
Plenty of encouragement all round and ready for another quarter. Midfielder Sara "Pocket Rocket" Callan had her work cut out for her, as she was continuously chasing, tackling and hunting for the ball.
The Pantherettes defence was yet again under enormous pressure as Cowra began to lock it in.
Defender Ash " Shuttle Bus" Kaesler shrugged and palmed her way through Cowra's forwards like there was no tomorrow, as well as booting the ball as far away from the defensive 50 as possible.
Cowra scored two goals and six behinds, whilst unfortunately Parkes were held scoreless.
Final quarter and heaps of work to do in a short fire fifteen minutes.
Half forward flanker Monique Quinn is improving more and more each game she plays, as well as learning and developing her skills.
As the ball was played mostly in the middle of the ground this quarter and some very tired players, Hallee Pauley-L'estrange took it in her stride to showcase her fitness, as she continued to provide to be a leading target to kick to and yet again scoop the ball up and run and take a few bounces before having a kick, resulting in a behind to keep the scoreboard ticking over.
Parkes then built the wall, and sure enough as the ball was booted forward, Amy Roseby picked the ball up off the deck, swung herself around and bob's your uncle scored a goal. Cowra kicked a goal and a behind.
Coach Felicity Ralph said unfortunately the girls went down this week.
"They played a great game of footy," she said.
"We changed a few things in our game this week as we had fewer numbers, the girls have one more game until the season has finished and I have really seen a growth in the girls. Congratulations on such a great year."
Parkes Panthers would like to say a massive thank you to our sponsors for this season, The Railway Hotel, Tuned Suspension and Mechanical, White's Electrical, Harvey Norman, Parkes Taxis and Telstra.
