The Tullamore Branch of CWA turned 90 years old on June 4. Sandra Fidock made the cake and Marie Darcy is the president. Past president Patricia Hurley AOM joined in the celebrations, along with many branch representatives. Master Reuben Kelly entertained those present with musical items.

Book launch: Dr Rick Newton launched his new book 'Tree Change - An Innocent's Progress', with the Stroke Foundation and the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation will profit from its sales.
Saturday morning saw traffic from all directions leading to Tullamore Bowling Club. A hugh sleeper fire glowed red and folk in serious winter wear were standing guard.
Everyone with smiling faces and words of welcome - babies in arms, girls in pretty fairy dresses, amazing woollen beanies and caps, others with walkers and walking sticks and gophers, safe and warm in the club.
What a marvelous "bush tucker" style lunch it was. The variety was eye-popping and the damper a dream.
Dr Rick Newton and family arrived with boxes. The book was launched amid much laughter.
Tea and cakes and fading light, then carefully passing the kangaroos, what a wonderful day.
