A 34-year-old Parkes woman was lucky to escape serious injury when the car she was driving rolled onto its roof on Monday afternoon.

Emercency services were called to the scene of the accident at 4.15pm after the woman, who was driving a white Hyundai sedan west on Thomas Street, collided with a car parked on the southern side of the street just past the Coleman Road intersection.
The impact caused the woman's car to flip onto its roof.
The woman was trapped for a shot time before being extracted and conveyed to Parkes Hosptial for assessment.

A 33-year-old Parkes man was refused bail after he was arrested and charged on Wednesday.
Police allege the man broke into a property in Parkes and stole $6,500 worth of assorted mechanical tools.
He was arrested in Grenfell Street at 12.10pm and at the time was in possession of a knife.
The man was charged with break enter and steal and custody of a knife in a public place.
He is in breach of a conditional bail he was already on.
The man will appear in Parkes Local Court on Thursday.

A 19-year-old Parkes man arrested at 11.30am on Tuesday morning at an address in Woodward Street after warrants were issued on Monday.
He appeared before Forbes Local Court on Tuesday and was given conditional bail to appear in Parkes Local Court on September 2.
