Parkes man, 18, to face court on drug possession charge

Police are reviewing CCTV footage in an attempt to identify those responsible for graffiti damage in Cooke Park.

Unknown offenders spray painted large pink letters on the amenities block and inside the baby change room sometime between 8.30am on Wednesday and 7.30am on Thursday.

Five people have been issued with court attendance notices for affray following investigations into an incident that happened at a local hotel on June 23.

Police were called to reports of people fighting at the hotel around midnight.

Police are investigating reports of dogs attacking sheep on Molong Road on Monday.

One sheep had to be put down after the attack.

Police are looking for a Toyota landcruiser or similar with a tray and dog boxes after a fence was damaged last weekend.

Sometime between 5.30pm on Friday, July 5 and 6pm on Sunday, July 7 a vehicle impacted with a brick fence between two driveways in Cecile Street.

Police believed they have narrowed the time of the incidence down to sometime on Sunday afternoon.

Unknown offenders broke into a shed on the property sometime between Thursday, July 4 and Monday, July 8.

An 18-year-old Parkes man has been issued with a court attendence notice for possessing a prohibited drug.

Police were called to a disturbance at a premises in Golden Bar Drive shortly before 12pm on Saturday, July 6.

Police located 5.1grams of cannabis on the man during a search.

Police arrested a Parkes man on Wednesday night and charged him with two counts of stealing and one of intimidation.

Police allege that earlier in the day the man attended a residence in Parkes and stole items from the house including cash.

It is further alleged he produced a broken chair leg and threatened the residents.

He was released on bail.
