Parkes man, 37, uses axe to smash three windows of vehicle

A 37-year-old Parkes man was charged with malicious damage after incident on Saturday.

Police were called to an east Parkes address around 12pm after the man allegedly smashed three windows of a vehicle with an axe.

He was granted conditional bail to appear in Parkes Local Court on July 15.

A 30-year-old Parkes man was arrested and charged after he allegedly committed an aggravated break and enter on Saturday morning.

Police were called to a residence in High Street at 12.15am after the man entered the house and threatened violence to the occupants.

He was charged with aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence; contravene court order; and two counts of stalk/intimidate.

He was refused bail to appear in Parkes Local Court on Monday, where he was granted conditional bail.

He will appear in Parkes Local Court on Monday, July 15.

A 25-year-old Parkes man has offered to pay for a window he smashed on Sunday morning.

Police received a report the man punched the window of a business in Clarinda Street at 3.20am.

He was identified as the offender and agreed to pay for the damage.

Police anticipate issuing a criminal infringement notice to a 36-year-old Parkes woman who was identified as the offender who stole from a local retail store on Friday morning.

The incident was captured on CCTV at 10.30am when the woman left the store without paying for a pair of $300 work boots.

A malicious damage occured to the front door of a Clarinda Street residence on Saturday evening.

The resident told police they heard a loud smash and upon investigation observed two males in black hoodies flee the scene.

Investigations are continuing.

A bicycle was stolen from a residence in Euchie Street, Peak Hill overnight on Saturday.

The bike is described as a silver and black Giant brand men's 10 speed.
