Last Saturday saw only five shooters out in the Deep Lead Shooting complex shooting at targets at both 25 and 50 metres for a maximum of 500 points.

Results at 25 metres and 50 metres for totals were: David Wilson 250, 248 for 498. Brian Drabsch 250, 247 for 497. Jeff Charlton 248, 231 for 459. John Davis 248 and then he had a scope trouble and only practiced at 50metres.
Field Rifle: John Smeaton 247 and 244 for 491.
Our next shoot will be at 10am on Sunday, June 23 and will be an animal target at both ranges.
Junior Netball
Last week saw Parkes Netball Association host its annual crazy sock and hair week to help raise money and awareness for children's cancer research. The committee was amazed at the effort that many of our girls went to showing off their wacky socks and weird and wonderful hair styles, as well as raise much needed money for this worthy cause. Teams and individual players were awarded prizes on the day for the best dressed on court with division 1 award going to Wildcats Division 2 award going to Pumas Individual awards went to Sophia Byrne and Jeannie White.
This week the weather is going to be chilly so players are reminded to arrive early to allow warm up time to avoid injuries.

Bridge
With the cold weather having finally arrived it's a good time to be indoors playing bridge as some of our bowling members fully agree. Recent results are as follows :- Thursday 6th June's winners were for north south Louise Payne and Peter Quin 64.88, Keith Fiedler and Greig Ball 55.26, Anne Berkeley and Isabel Orange 52.03. For east west Vicky Burke and Pam Mowtell 59.92, Margaret Hawken and John Quin 53.87, Ingrid Stephenson and Kevin Robinson 53.62.Winners on Tuesday 11thJune were Keith Fiedler and Jenny Freeman 58.33. There was a tie for second between Jan Freeman and Nancye Blatch and Isabel Orange and Kevin Robinson all on 57.29. Marlene Freeman and Val Boyd were next with 55.21.On Thursday 13th Louise Payne and Peter Quin topped again with 58.33 followed by Beth Thomas and Suzie McNamara 54.46 and Jenny Freeman and Anne Berkeley 51.79. For the east west side Bev Laing and Isabel Orange were first with 62.80. Second were Margaret Hawken and John Quin 56.55 and close behind were Ingrid Stephenson and Keith Fiedler 55.65 and Vicki Burke and Dawn Phipps 55.36.Keith Fiedler and Beryl Twardy came first on Monday 17th with a score of 66 per cent. Second were Anne Berkeley and Bev Laing 51 and third were Steve Garriock and Bill Burke 50 per cent.Peter Dearden and Greig Ball were the winners on Tuesday 18th with a good score of 64.58. In equal second place were Jan Freeman and Isabel Orange and Keith Fiedler and Val Boyd with 55.56. In fourth place were Bev Laing and Laurie Keane with 54.17.

FROM THE DRAGON'S LAIR: Sunday, June 16 the Parkes Services Social Golfers played the First Round of their 4BBB Championships for trophies supplied by Margaret Hogan and Ross Smith, with the raffle donated by Robert Hey.
Winners on the day were Rodney Luyt and Robert Rea with a combined score of 47 points.
Runner ups were Reg Davison and Kap Palenapa - Pili with 44 points and third with 42 points on a C/B the Team of Sue Smith and Dale Stait.
Ladies Nearest the Pins went to Chris Stait taking both the 4th and 11th holes.
Men's Nearest the Pin Winners: 4th. Matt Wright; 6th. Matt Wright; 11th. Dale Stait; 15th. Robert Rea.
Lucky Card Draw won by Phil Wenninbom and Lyn Davison; Bunny Award went to Tom Delmenico and Chris Goodie. Raffle winner was Phil Wenninbom with Golf Balls going to Chris Goodie, Bill Warren and Nim Dzuba.

Men
On Saturday, June 15, we had 22 bowlers and one major singles games played. Winners were Mick Furney Gene Rapp and Jay Germoy (a new bowler with plenty of potential), W 17 +16. R/up Mike Phillips Terry Hetherington and Terry Clothier W17+9. Peter Creith played Flippy Fliedner. The game was even at first but Flippy proved his class winning 31-17.
On Sunday a game of major pairs saw Flippy and Ray Griffith take on the green keeper, Juicy Daily and Matty Mcgrath. Juicy scored on the first end but after that it was all the Griffo and Flippy show with Flippy winning 31-9.
In the minor singles Wally Grant played Lea Tanks and Peter Job marking, with Lea winning 31-14 and into the final.
On Wednesday we had 16 bowlers grace the green. Winners were Billy Searle and Tony Latter W 16+7. R/up Brian Wetlher (visitor from Lakes Entrance, Vic) and Mick Furney W15+8. Margins 2, 5, 7, 8 and Marble 23 came out so it jackpot's on to next week.
Members dues are now to be paid by June 30. So jump in and be financial. First round of the triples and fours are to be played by July 14. President's day will be held on July 14, get in and get your teams together to show your support for our president Tony Latter. There is a list on the board for handicapped pairs , first round to be played on or before August 17. Each team must have a combined score of at least 11 or above. This weekend we a few teams are going up to the town for the Tom Casey classic pairs, good luck and good bowling. Friday night meals have taken off with Robyn doing a splendid job, look on our Facebook site for the menu. Friday night raffles, happy hour, members draw and jackpot as usual.

The CWD Fours and Senior Fours were played this week at Parkes Railway. In a magnificent final two Parkes teams played each other, with a thrilling finish with only one point separating the teams after the last end. Gwenda Carty, Cherie Frame, Liz Byrne, Rhona Went defeating Kim Evans, Jan McPhee, Maree Grant and Pat Cooney.
In the Senior Fours Joan Simpsons team lost to Canowindra.
A Trading Table will be held next week June 25.
Nominations for Club Triples are now open and close July 9 at 12pm.
