Emergency services received a triple-0 call out to a property on Albert Street at 9.26pm on Wednesday following reports of a house fire.
"On arrival crews saw a working fire under the ridge cap, five residents were evacuated," Fire and Rescue NSW Parkes brigade said in a statement.

"The fire was particularly difficult for the crews to reach with crews entering the roof space via a man hole inside and also removing roof sheets to be able to extinguish the fire.
"The crew did a great job to have been able to completely extinguish the fire."
This was the second house fire that firefighters were called to in Parkes on Wednesday following an early morning unit fire on Orange Street.
