This time around the Reverend Crystal Spindler and Sister Elizabeth Young have agreed to speak about their journeys into ministry - the highlights and the pitfalls.
Women have contributed much to the ministry of various Churches and spiritual groups throughout history however, the role of women in this area has never been free from controversy.
Women are still forbidden from being ordained ministers in some Churches and in some countries.
Rev Spindler was born in England, a "10-pound pom", who grew up on the South Coast of NSW without a great deal of Christian input. She was 33-years-old and struggling with the loss of a brother when her spiritual journey began. In 2008 she was ordained into the Anglican Church, and now ministers in Forbes and Cumnock.
Elizabeth Young is a Sister of Mercy who has come this year as a pastoral worker to the Catholic Diocese of Wilcannia-Forbes. From rural South Australia, she has been studying theology and ministering in various ways since 2007 when she was 21.
Buy a drink, enjoy the talk and discussion, ask questions, and even stay on for dinner. The Commercial's kitchen will be open.
This program is part of the Spirituality in the Pub program, which is an initiative of Catalyst for Renewal Inc.
A gold coin donation on entry will be appreciated.
