The 473 delegates attending included those from Trundle, Forbes, Tullamore, Kiacatoo and Myamley branches in Oxley Group.

Over 30 motions were discussed and dealt with including, Travelling Stock Routes to remain in public hands, Enforcement of definition terms of products being branded as Milk and Meat when they are not, Transparency in the decision making of The Murray Daring Basin Plan, Staffing ratio of Rural and Regional Hospitals and Maximum penalties for Rural Crime.

A substantial cheque was presented to the University of Sydney Research Team working on a cure for Endometriosis with the conference moving to support this medical research for another year.

Along with the business side of conference, displays of the work of members in handicrafts, Land Cookery, Cultural, International and Agricultural sectors were enjoyed by both members and the general public.

Oxley Group members were happily successful overall with several awards.

In the competitions Robin Pols from Forbes Branch won the state's cultural report.

In the handicraft sections Marie Darcy of Tullamore Branch won 1^st prize for a ladies jacket and 1^st prize for a ladies blouse.

Jean Manwaring from Myamley Branch won 1^st prize with a smocked child's dress, 2^nd prize with a ladies blouse and 2^nd prize with a babies rug in the embroidery section, 2^nd prize for a knee or cot rug sewn from any commercial natural fibre.

Brook Morgan from Trundle Branch won 1^st prize in any article of craft made by a junior between 13 years to 18 years.

In the land cookery section Shirley Edwards from the Tullamore Branch won 1^st prize in the rich fruit cake section and 1^st prize in the steamed fruit pudding section.

There were 30 entries in each section.

The 98th CWA Annual Conference will be held next May in Newcastle and plans are already being made for a very special Centenary Conference in the year 2022.
