The memorial was organised by Phil's brother Darcy and kindly donated by Rod and Cheryl Fletcher from Rocks of Remembrance.
"It's hard to believe, but it's been one year since my brother Philip died here in Parkes," Darcy said.
"I'm really pleased his memorial stone has found a permanent home.
"A huge thank you to Rod and Cheryl for donating it."
The rock was officially unveiled during a special tribute show held in Phil's honour at the 2019 Parkes Elvis Festival.
Rod and Cheryl travelled from Queensland for the event.
"It took just on four weeks to make," Rod said.
"The guitar was all hand sculptured from concrete, then we bronzed it.
"The rock itself is textured concrete on a steel frame, which took about a week to hand sculpture. Then we coloured it and put all the special coatings over the top of it."
Since the unveiling, Parkes Shire Council has worked with Darcy to find a suitable permanent location for the memorial.
It is now positioned at the Henry Parkes Centre outside the entry to the Parkes and District Historical Society Museum, which hosts an exhibit honouring the Emmanuel brothers.
Parkes Elvis Festival Director, Cathy Treasure said it was an honour to meet Phil in 2018 when he was inducted into the Wall of Fame.
"He was both a great musician and a lovely man to work with," Cathy said.
"He is sorely missed and this memorial is an important installation to honour his memory."
Phil Emmanuel was one of the world's greatest lead guitarists and started his music career at a young age as part of the Emmanuel Quartet.
The Emmanuel family settled in Parkes in 1967, where Phil attended school prior to moving to Sydney.
Phil and his brother Tommy were inducted into the Elvis Wall of Fame during the 2018 Festival, with Phil performing his incredible solo show to a sell-out crowd the same year.
Last June he was posthumously recognised in the Queen's Birthday 2018 Honours List and awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia for his service to the performing arts, particularly through music.
You can visit the rock, take your photo with it, and post it on Phil's official Facebook page at Phil Emmanuel - Official with the hashtag #phil'smemorial.
