This week we host our annual Shoosh for kids round where we promote the importance of positivity in our sport. Teams, officials and family members show each other respect and encouragement on and off the court.
There's nothing worse than the negative behaviour of someone on the watching ruining it for everyone. Get involved in the state-wide campaign to keep comments positive at junior sport - remember, sport should be fun! #shooshforkids

Women's Bowls
This week our Women's Bowling Club hosted a Biggest Morning Tea event to raise money in the fight against cancer.
The bowling green was very colourful with a sea of yellow to be seen. Even a great, yellow wig worn by a Forbes bowler.
A wonderful, inspiring speech was given to us by Marguritte Burns, who talked about her journey with breast cancer.
Marguritte emphasised the very important message to women to always check your breasts for any changes at all and to be very vigilant in having mammograms every two years.
If you haven't had one they are free at Breastscreen for women between 50 to 74 years. Just ring 132050. Also you can get ultrasounds at different locations.
Young and old, Check your Breasts. Early detection can save lives. A great raffle with 1st prize donated by Isabel Svendsen, was won by Chris Curteis. 2nd donated by Gwenda Carty was won by Norma Pollock, 3rd won by Lorraine Baker.
Teacups prize winners were Robyn Morgan, Alison Este, Audrey Jones, Lorraine Baker. Spider winners were Fran Dixon and Robyn Morgan.
The Auction of several items donated by local businesses was a resounding success with the auctioneer, Kim Evans, doing a superb job with a running commentary that had us in stitches.
Next week social bowls Table selectors Rosemary Mitchell and Kim Evans between 9am and 9.30am social roster is Maureen Miller. New bowlers and visitors always welcome to play.

The rest of the members who have passed the 100 mark are ineligible to take part. Best wishes everyone and we hope a Parkes pair can be in the place getters.
