Are we starting to see which teams are the ones to beat already?

Plenty has happened in the first two rounds of the Group 11 season and there's been changes in the power rankings already.

Group 11 Power Rankings: Round one

Here's the rankings for week two:

Two from two and looking every bit a genuine contender early on.

A clinical showing against Westside was backed up with the kind of gutsy performance all the best sides can produce.

Down 24-6 at one point, the Spacemen went on to beat Wellington 25-24 at Pioneer Oval. Chad Porter backed up his 36-point haul in round one with an ice-cool field goal inside the final minute to seal it.

It's been spoken about at length how much work this side has put in early on and it's showing. Keeping Wellington scoreless in the second half on Sunday is a noteworthy achievement.

Calm and clinical. There's a lot to like about the Spacemen heading into a massive round three clash with Nyngan.

Ran riot early on Sunday before easing off to score a 80-32 victory over Westside, making it two-from-two to start the season.

Westside was gutsy in the loss and the late tries they ran in will no doubt be something captain-coach Justin Carney won't want to see going forward, but really the Tigers did all they needed to on the weekend.

Carney bagged another try, Sam Simmons collected a swag of points, and four-pointers came from all over the park.

Attack is not an issue for the Tigers, that's clear to see, but the defensive effort will decide next round's result at Parkes and where Nyngan sits on this list next week.

Another tight win.

Dubbo CYMS is winning ugly to start the season and that's something all top sides can do.

The Fishies just know how to win and despite being down at half-time on Sunday they got the job done at Narromine.

Newcomers John Ciappara and Jayden Merritt both scored for CYMS on Sunday and the more time those type of players spend on the park the better as the side continues to gel.

Captain-coach Jarryn Powyer is still searching for his best lineup, but the wins keep coming as he does.

That's all you can ask for.

They were seventh on this list after round one but admittedly I did say they wouldn't be there for long.

One week in fact. The Magpies got back towards their best on Sunday and after a slow start went on to crush Macquarie at Apex Oval.

That's despite an already lengthy injury list.

Much like CYMS, this side knows how to win and won't panic at any stage. The minutes and experience some more fringe players are getting at this time of the season could be massive come September.

The round four grand final rematch with the Fishies can't come soon enough.

Much like round one, really promising signs but again nothing to show for it.

It is early and this is a completely new side still finding its way, but Justin Toomey-White and Aidan Ryan wouldn't want to see many more losses build up early in the season.

This weekend's game against Westside offers a chance to get the ball rolling and clashes with Nyngan and Macquarie to follow could give us a real indication of how this side is travelling.

Currently, it's still a team in progress.

Still without a win but for the second week the Jets showed a huge amount of fight.

Narromine led Dubbo CYMS at half-time on Sunday but was ultimately run down and beaten 36-24.

There's confidence really flowing through the side despite sitting in fifth with just one point to its name.

Captain-coach Dylan Hill has instilled a strong competitive streak in this side and it's clear already it won't be giving up in any game.

The early efforts deserve a win but the next three weeks against Forbes, Parkes, and Nyngan will be a big ask for Hill and his men.

Not good signs for the Raiders in Sunday's loss to Forbes.

Macquarie has now conceded 74 points in just two rounds, only Westside has leaked more.

Fixing that is obviously the biggest job facing Wes Middleton right now but the captain-coach is also looking for the right balance in attack, with two different halves combinations and two different hookers used in the first two rounds.

Much like a lot of the other sides, Macquarie is still a work in progress but with CYMS ahead this weekend the side needs to start turning things around.

This side simply needs to more time together and training and in games.

The final result read 80-32 so looking at that alone it was the second horror result in as many games this season.

But rugby league is about much more than results, and the battling Westside club is showing a huge amount of resolve.

In all honesty it's going to take the Rabbitohs something special for them to work up the ladder and up this list but morale is remaining high and the effort is there.

The gruelling trek to Nyngan is out of the way and the side travels no further than Wellington in the next month.

Homes games and short away trips should help numbers, which drastically need to improve.

The side simply cannot keep having so many players feature in reserve grade and first grade.

Positive signs, but more players need to arrive and buy into the never-say-die attitude.
