After a visit to England, Hilary Wright brought back the script for a play "Shakespeare's Women" which was rewritten and directed by Alan as "Will's Women". This was an all female production with Liz Matthews, Hilary, Beth Taylor, Isabelle Powter and Wanda Whitmill taking the main roles. Unfortunately Alan was unable to see the production finalized due to a serious medical condition. However it was quite a successful season, Shakespeare had not been tried in Parkes before.
Being a strong supporter of the annual Stage West Festival of One Act Plays, Parkes entered "Norm and Ahmed" in the 1993 weekend in Gulgong. This play by Alex Buso was acted by John Short and Greig Ball under the direction of Suzie McNamara assisted by Warwick Tom, it won the best actor award. Society members always enjoyed these trips away for the competition and comradeship with the regional amateur groups.

To conclude the year in November, a light hearted revue was staged called "A Wink at the Sphinx". The script was obtained from a lady in Bundaberg and directed by Alan Wright, assisted by Jenny Hawke. All the regulars took part including new faces Kate Richie, Ngaire Dignan, Nancy Main, David Kearsley, Deane Kearney and Chris Boyd. Rhonda and Tom Coulcher, old members of the Society who had moved to Orange, travelled back for every rehearsal.
As 1994 approached it was apparent a big production was not going to occur so the Society decided to concentrate on one act plays for the annual festival to be held in Wellington. The result of this was four directors nominated what they would like to direct in the first part of '94 with Toni Lam working on a pantomine for November to finish the year. This will be covered in No.27
