Excellent weather greeted the players all day which led to some very good scores being posted.
A big thank you to Brad and Matt from Northparkes Mines for securing more than $3,000 of prizes and some outstanding auction items.
Proceeds of the day were given to Can Assist and a special mention and thank you to all the Can Assist volunteers who donated their time to run the raffles and cook the barbeque.
And the winners were...
Winners of the day were the team of Brendan Chambers, Finne Latu and Chris Harrison with a score of 55.6 nett.
Runners up were Brett Cowling, Kieren Deland and Riall Harrison on 57.8 nett.
Winners of the ladies event were the team of 70 Plus with 64.7 nett.
The straightest drive competition held on the 16th hole was won in the men's by Dave Hall and the ladies prize was won by Frankie Cock.
The long drive competition also held on the 16th was won by Phil Barnard in the men's and by Colleen Staples in the ladies.
Nearest the pin prizes went to Rob Maxwell at 9.5m who won the prize against the entire field.
The two men's only prizes were won by Phil Bishop at 1.1 metres and Joe Van Opynen at 2.93 metres.
The ladies only prizes were both won by Colleen Staples.
Individual stableford
This week the members will play an 18 hole individual Stableford sponsored by Ken Keith (OAM).
This event is also the second of the six qualifying rounds of the PYBAR handicap shootout so bring your 'A' game.
Due to increased demand for tee times, from this weekend the match committee has re-instated the two tee starting time sheet.
With daylight hours decreasing as we head into the cooler months, all players need to be mindful of their pace of play to ensure that players who start towards the end of the field are able to finish their round before dark.
No BYO
A friendly reminder to all members and visitors that no outside alcohol is to be brought onto the course, takeaways may be purchased from the clubhouse and then taken out.
Cowra Easter Classic
