Central West Police District highway patrol officers first came across this truckie near Parkes late last week.
"About 2.15pm on Thursday, April 11, police from the Central West highway patrol detected a truck and dog travelling at 116km/h on the outskirts of Parkes," officers said in a statement.
"The combination was stopped and the driver was issued an infringement notice for the speeding offence."
Then, just one day later, the truck driver attracted the attention of police again.
"About 2pm today, Monday April 15, the truck was stopped again where a download was conducted on the engine control module," Traffic and Highway Patrol Command officers said.
"This download showed the truck to be non compliant, being capable of travelling at 119km/h.
"The truck was issued a major defect for it's speed limiter non compliance."
